The narrative is based on a compilation of weird little stories by Mehis Heinsaar, which brings out all the absurdity of backwater village life. One day, a man settles down in a village. Who is he? What does he do? He does absolutely nothing. This is at the same time both frightening and intriguing, and sets a chain of events in motion… I decided to use old baskets for the sets. Easier said than done, though: we even had to organize a nationwide campaign, asking people from all over Estonia to donate their old and unusable baskets to the theatre, and finally we gathered more than there was place for.
